SINGAPORE: Temasek Trust has expanded its long-term partnership with The Earthshot Prize, with a focus on spotlighting Asia in the fight against climate change.

The multi-year partnership makes Temasek Trust a founding partner of The Earthshot Prize, both organisations said in a press release on Sunday (Nov 5).

“Temasek Trust brings significant expertise to The Earthshot Prize that will enhance the Prize’s efforts to showcase and scale innovative solutions to restore the planet by drawing on the networks of Temasek Trust’s ecosystem in Asia and beyond.”Together, both organisations will work to spotlight this crucial region in the fight against climate change.”

The expanded partnership also aims to unlock global learnings and insights to identify, scale, and celebrate innovative solutions and eco-innovators, said the joint press release.

The two organisations will create “convening opportunities across Asia” and partner around key initiatives as they aim to “connect eco-innovators with funders equally committed to driving impact”.

CEO of Temasek Trust, Desmond Kuek, said the organisation is committed to creating the platforms and infrastructure for this.

“Our multi-year collaboration with The Earthshot Prize is rooted in a shared bias for action and ambition in catalysing innovative solutions at scale to repair our planet,” said Mr Kuek.

Hannah Jones, CEO of The Earthshot Prize said that the evolution of its partnership with Temasek Trust, as it moves from strategic partner to founding partner, “underscores The Prize’s determination to expand the impact of our work in Asia, spotlight and elevate the incredible climate innovations across the region”.
